Luke 1:78-79 NLT
"[78] Because of God’s tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, [79] to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace."
A deep sense of belonging comes with knowing that no matter what darkness has filled your past, you have been made new.
In Christ, there is no shame too deep, no failure too heavy that He cannot redeem us. The weight of old burdens begins to lift, and with every step, you feel His grace washing over you, cleansing you of all that has held you back.
It's overwhelming to realize that He loves us enough to wipe the slate clean, to embrace us just as we are, and yet loves us too much to leave us the same.
There is hope that tomorrow will be different as you are no longer defined by your past, but by the identity He gives you—beloved, forgiven, free. The road may not always be easy, but you don't walk it alone. There’s a peace in knowing that His strength will carry you when you feel weak, and His love will cover you when you feel unworthy. Every new beginning in Christ is a reminder that He is the God of second chances, a God who makes all things new, and that truth fills your heart with gratitude and hope for what lies ahead.
This has been a long season of rebuilding for me. The Lord has been teaching me how to trust Him in areas where past wounds used to lie. He's been challenging me to step out of my comfort zone and build relationships and connections, to trust people and to open up about my struggles. Every day, it seems like, I'm waking up as a different and better version of myself, and I'm thankful for it. I'm thankful that every day is progress. I'm thankful that as I woke before sunrise today, I knew that everything was suddenly New... All over again.
