Running Free

The horse runs with wild abandon through the forest, his hooves pounding the earth like a heartbeat set free. Muscles ripple beneath his coat as he weaves through trees, unbothered by the path, unconcerned with who’s watching. There is no saddle, no reins; only the wind, the earth, and the rhythm of freedom. He runs not because he has to, but because he was made to. Every breath is purpose. Every stride is praise. In this, you see something sacred: the beauty of being fully alive, fully surrendered to the design of the Creator.

This horse isn’t worried about direction. He trusts the instincts written deep in his bones. He doesn’t pause to question if he's worthy of the space he takes up or if it's too late to run like this. He just moves, knowing the One who made him also made the path beneath him. In the same way, God calls us to move with Him. Not from fear or control, but from deep trust and joy. He doesn’t want to confine us. He wants to set us free. Free from shame, free from performance, free to be who we were created to be. Like the horse, we were meant to run wild in His grace, not trapped by the lies we’ve believed or the wounds we’ve carried.

Maybe you’ve forgotten what that kind of freedom feels like. Maybe life has tamed you, told you to be small, careful, contained. But God is whispering your name, calling you back to the open fields of trust, to the forest paths of bold faith. He didn’t create you to just survive. He created you to run. To trust Him with the terrain, to breathe deeply in His presence, and to remember that your freedom brings Him joy. Let the image of this horse awaken something in you: a longing to live unbound, a desire to run freely again... Not away from God, but with Him.
