Bursting Forth Original

Jesus stood among the thirsty and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water’” (John 7:37-38). He wasn't offering what the world gives. He was offering Himself, the Living Water, the well that never runs dry. In a world parched by sin and sorrow, Jesus became the endless source of life, cleansing, and renewal. He met the woman at the well and told her, “Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again” (John 4:14). That promise still pours into our dry places today - grace overflowing, mercy without limit, and love that quenches every soul’s deepest thirst.

When they laid Him in the tomb, it seemed like the well had run dry. Silence. Stillness. But the grave could not hold the Living Water. On the third day, the stone was rolled away, not just to let Jesus out, but to show the world that Death had been conquered. The tomb, once a symbol of finality, became a fountain of hope. Life burst forth from the place of death, and what should have been an end became the beginning. The tomb became a well; deep, eternal, and overflowing with the promise that “whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). The Living Water still flows, and it flows from an empty grave.
