"The Fire and the Water"

I saw the flags released into streams of fire and water dancing and interacting with each other in perfect harmony. As the song changed into "Holy, Holy," the ceiling burst into flames. The rafters blazed hot, and embers and ash floated down upon the people, cleansing like the coals in Isaiah cleansed his lips. As we moved into the "Amens," a cool, healing river flooded the sanctuary, dousing the flecks of fire. I was reminded of how the islands with volcanic activity keep growing. As the waves cool the magma, new land is formed, new territory is built. Out of that new territory grows the lushest, greenest gardens. The land born of fire is the most productive and fruitful.

These worship flags are hand-dyed habotai silk. They're approximately 45x55" and include sewn-in flexirods.
