Longsuffering Original
"You have many questions," He said. We were traveling somewhere, and I began to grow parched in the Spirit, but in my body as well. I recognized that this was a thirst for knowledge. I saw myself with deep roots that hungrily absorbed everything they came in contact with and produced genuine change within my heart. He laughed and delighted in the garden, and we danced among the leaves. He picked a pear. It was yellow on one side and blue on the other.
"This is Longsuffering." He held it carefully in His hand, like it was delicate and precious to Him. In it, we saw all of my tears in the Waiting, the time I spent on my knees, the time in the wilderness... He watched the scenes play out, and I felt how my pain tugged on His heartstrings. "Isn't it beautiful?" As He turned it over in His hand, intricate crystalline structures began to develop, each facet telling a story of my life. He admired what I knew was His workmanship, and then He carefully placed it back on the branch as if it had never been plucked in the first place. I understood that this fruit was a culmination of restless nights, and tears, and hours that I'd frustratedly believed were wasted... I recognized that with the maturing of this fruit ushered in a New Season.
