Planted Original

At one point, she was buried in sorrow, in grief, in loss, confusion, abuse. 

At one point, she felt that life was too heavy to keep going, that she'd be crushed by the weight of it all. 

At one point, she looked around and all she saw was darkness.

But then she found Jesus. 

He lifted her up out of the ashes... but her roots stayed. They stretched down deep, through the rubble and the clay, until they reached the River of Life bubbling beneath the surface. 

She began to grow stronger, taller. She began to peek out of her shell and feel the sun again, feel joy again. She looked around, and the truth hit like the lightning that would set her free: "I was never buried; I was planted."

Like a seed, that truth burrowed down deep within her soul until Freedom became her portion, and her purpose was revealed: to shine for Him, to bloom for Him, to glorify Him. 

And suddenly, all of the pressure was worth it. 

She was made new. 🌻
