Lately, God has taken me on a fasting journey. What started out as a group full of strong, supportive prayer warriors uplifting each other and holding each other accountable became something much more personal and intimate for me.

Fasting quietly became a regular part of my week. Sometimes I'd wake up dreading the hunger, but other times... Most times, I'd wake up full of joy and anticipation. Pulling myself away from my own mind and flesh to hear Him more clearly brings forth some of the most beautiful connection that has become the highlight of my week.

I get to take a day to set myself apart for Him. I get to consecrate and purify myself as His bride. In crucifying my flesh, my spirit grows stronger.

What an honor to set myself apart for Him as His bride! There's nothing I'd rather do or be in this world.
